Teaching reading  to students from ages 4-12 for over ten years has given me the expertise  to offer this program which I have created to encourage a love and passion for reading using phonics.

Level One students will clap , march, and sing as they learn the sounds of the alphabet. Art and other forms of media is used  to support the phonics concept that is being taught that  week.  Each week students' are taught a new word family that is associated with a particular short vowel.  For instance, short a has the word families  at, an , ad and ag.

Level 2 is for students who are familiar with the word families associated with level one Level  focus on learning blends, while Level three focuses on long vowels, digraphs, and diphthongs,  Students become proficient over time in the program read two- three years above grade level.  Teaching children to read  fluently, empowers them to reach new challenges,  Reading spans across the curriculum so if your  proficient in reading it is understandable that you would excel in other subjects as well.  As a reading warrior Betty Davis teaches children how to read with passion and excitement. Her infectious enthusiasm motivates children to love learning how to read. Registration for classes is ongoing with prior notification and can be prorated.

Did you know that Phonics helps children with speech issues?  Recently two new students have made great progress at overcoming there individual difficulties with speech. Using phonics not only teaches the sounds  but how to chunk word families as well. One of my students came into the program about two months ago and had a and really has a interest in learning to read. Jason, not his real name  when I first met him would stutter after each word.  Now after two months he is able to read without stuttering at all. Jason is steadily making great progress and his mother is so proud of him! Cole another student who I am currently working with is making excellent progress is learning how to speak clearly. Both of the students are greatly encouraged and much more confident in their abilities to speak clearly then they were before.

Is your child highly distractable ? Does your child have trouble organizing his or her thoughts? Does your son or daughter have trouble listening to directions? This program is designed specifically with your son or daughters unique learning style, which makes learning fun.  Children learn best when concepts are presented in  a multi sensory format.
